How it works
How to Convert Temperature
Our temperature converter makes it easy to switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F). Simply enter a temperature value and select the conversion direction.
Example 1: Room Temperature
Convert 20°C to Fahrenheit. Using the formula: (20 × 9/5) + 32 = 68°F. Room temperature is approximately 68°F.
Example 2: Body Temperature
Convert 98.6°F to Celsius. Using the formula: (98.6 - 32) × 5/9 = 37°C. Normal body temperature is 37°C.
Example 3: Freezing Point
Water freezes at 0°C, which equals 32°F. Water boils at 100°C, which equals 212°F.
Formula
Celsius to Fahrenheit: F = (C × 9/5) + 32
Fahrenheit to Celsius: C = (F - 32) × 5/9
